Mirjam and her daughter Sharon run Hondenschool 101. They focus on enjoying life with your dog, with exercises adapted to each owner and dog. As the school grew, they needed a clearer alternative to Excel and separate registration forms.
Mirjam was already a student at the school when the opportunity to take over came around 2010. After qualifying as a veterinary nurse, Sharon worked in a veterinary practice and became increasingly interested in behaviour. She trained as an instructor and started teaching too. The school grew into a partnership between mother and daughter.
Training at your own level
The school works with small groups and adapts exercises to people and their dogs. Students do not need to pass an exam to continue training. For Mirjam and Sharon, what matters is that participants keep learning and enjoying themselves.
Students manage their own registration
After a demonstration, they switched to Aniday. Participants enter their details, choose a course and check whether places are available. Registration became clearer for customers, and the school gained a better view of enrolments.
When setting up Aniday, they wanted participants to see their own options. A full course no longer needs to be discussed through separate messages first. The switch took time, but support made it easier to manage. In the interview, they emphasise that using the system is the best way to get comfortable with it.
Time spent setting up makes everyday work easier
At first, Mirjam and Sharon needed to find their way around and decide how to organise everything. With Aniday’s help, it became easier. Their advice is to take time to learn the system. Once it is set up, both the school and its customers benefit.
