Hondenhotel de Tatelaarhoeve grew from Jan and Els’s initiative into a family business with their daughter Elise and son-in-law Raymond. As it grew, they needed software they could use on more than one computer.
The dog hotel opened in 2002 after the family’s vet encouraged them to explore the idea. A former chicken shed was later converted to allow further growth. Raymond’s construction experience helped them build the hotel themselves. Its location near the A12 made it accessible to customers travelling from different directions.
Many guests, plenty to coordinate
The team takes dogs outside and brings them back in personally, giving them plenty of contact with the animals. On busy days, dozens of dogs arrive and leave. Easy access to booking information is essential.

Switching when they needed to
When the old software froze again, Elise called Aniday to ask whether she could switch immediately. Her data was transferred that day. Not everything fitted straight away, but there was open communication about improvements and requests.
Being tied to one computer also caused problems when Elise was away. To make a change, she had to connect remotely to the computer at home. That was cumbersome. With Aniday, she could take her laptop and log in directly, allowing her to keep handling admin herself while away from the hotel.
More freedom to manage the admin
Elise can now manage bookings on different computers and log in outside the hotel. The business also started taking deposits through iDEAL. In the interview, she explained that those payments helped them through the difficult pandemic period. Aniday’s willingness to discuss their needs remained important to her.
