Caroline and Wim started Dierenpension de Bommel in 2001. Their boarding business mainly welcomes retrievers and gundogs. When they looked for a different booking system, Aniday’s personal support made the difference.

Caroline grew up with dogs and completed several courses before starting the business. The site had housed a boarding facility before, but she and Wim chose a new name and their own approach. Alongside standard kennels, themed rooms offer some guests a different kind of stay.

Putting guests first

De Bommel has kennels, themed rooms, play fields and a grooming salon. Caroline and the team want dogs to look forward to coming back. That takes a well-organised day, from outdoor play to grooming before collection.

Time to try it out

After a demonstration, Caroline and Wim tried Aniday. They were nervous about switching and were given extra time to practise. A visit to the office gave them further guidance. That personal help gave them confidence to go ahead.

The software itself was only part of the decision. They also wanted to know they could keep asking questions. There was no rush during the trial. Extra practice and repeated explanations helped them get comfortable with the system. Caroline appreciates that younger and older staff alike can learn to use it.

A system the whole team can use

Caroline says staff of different ages picked up the basics fairly quickly, each at their own pace. She also values seeing practical suggestions reflected in improvements. Contact with the team is an important part of the relationship for De Bommel.
